The harvester, type T-160, is a trailed single row toplifter, with a bunker capacity of 11 m³. The machine is used for the efficient harvesting of carrots, parsnips and other vegetables. The machine is characterised by its long top lifter belts with a length of 550". This gives the machine more space for root-cleaners so that adhering soil can be cleaned off in a very effective way. In addition, the longer top lifter belts create more space for larger tyres, which increases ground protection and facilitates use in wet harvesting conditions. The large bunker with a capacity of 11 m³, in combination with the single-row intake allows long fields to be harvested without intermediate unloading. A share loosens the soil below the root. The rotating torpedoes raise the haulm/carrot tops so that it can be pulled out by the pick-up belt. Afterwards, a root-cleaner removes adhering soil. The tops of the crop are cut off at their base by a cutting unit and ejected behind the machine. The carrots are conveyed via a cross conveyor onto a fine haulm elevator to remove adhering soil and other impurities. From there, they are transferred into the bunker via a bunker filling elevator.
