The harvester, type T-260 Garlic, is a trailed two-row toplifter, with a bunker capacity of 11 m³. The machine is characterised by its high efficiency and reliability in the effective harvesting of garlic. A coulter loosens the soil beneath the crop and cuts the roots precisely. The rotating conical pick-up rollers raise the haulm/the carrot tops so that it can be pulled out by the pick-up belt. Afterwards, a root-cleaner removes adhering soil. The special cutting unit with two short clamping belts gently aligns the garlic precisely in height so that the subsequent cutting discs achieve a consistent residual length. The tops are ejected behind the machine. The garlic is fed onto the bunker filling elevator by a cross conveyor. From there it is conveyed into the bunker.
