The PO-335M is a portable, single-row top lifter for the direct filling of crates by hand. It is a perfect match to start a mechanical and effective harvest of leek. Thus, the machine is mainly used on smaller and medium sized farms. The machine is characterised by its high variability in equipment. The machine is carried in the lower guides of the tractor and an interaxle attachment frame. A share loosens the soil below the root. The rotating torpedoes are used to straighten and to lift up the haulm/tops and two cutting discs shorten the tops, which are too long. The cut leaves are ejected to the side. A root-shaker positioned directly on the coulter loosens the adhering soil, a second root-shaker removes more soil. The leek is then conveyed to the cross conveyor via the pick-up belt. A short root conveyor is fitted as standard at the transition from the pick-up belt to the cross conveyor to enable the leek to be optimally positioned on the latter. Thanks to an adapted work platform, one person can gently handle the leek into a box by hand.
