The harvester, type SPT-255DF, is a self-propelled toplifter, with cart elevator. The machine can be used for an effective harvest of carrots, parsnips and other root crops. Self-propelled harvesters excel with the perfectly matched combination of performance, driving comfort and manoeuvrability. The resulting harvest reliability, even under the most difficult conditions, plays a decisive role in many cases. The machine is characterised by its long top lifter belts with a length of 550". This gives the machine more space for root-cleaners so that adhering soil can be cleaned off in a very effective way. The direct crop flow reduces the risk of damages, making the machine particularly suitable for harvesting crops, that shall be stored. A share loosens the soil below the root. The rotating conical pick-up rollers raise the haulm/carrot tops so that it can be pulled out by the clamping belt. A root-cleaner removes adhering soil. A cutting unit removes the haulm/carrot tops at the base so that it can be ejected behind the machine. The carrots are conveyed directly via cross conveyor onto the cart elevator.
